Skin Tight Outta Sight and GCB present: The 6th Annual Grindhouse Ghoulies!!
Back in the '60s and early '70s, when the burlesque phenomenon was dying, the Golden Age of "Grind" Cinema was born. Shot on the cheap, these sleazy films were screened between the live bump 'n' grind girlies in the strip clubs. When burlesque went fully nude, these movies continued in old theatres, where the name "Grindhouse" lived on, even after the last g-string flew!
Grindhouse movies ran all night long, covering a range of sensationalistic and titillating subject matter, from suspense and slasher horror flicks to sexploitation films featuring buxom babes in suspect situations.
For this evening of burlesque, we focus on horror and our love of the undead! Skin Tight Outta Sight was the first burlesque troupe to pay homage to this rediscovered genre. This year, we serve it up with our long-time partner-in-crime, Canada's legendary mentalist Dr. Mysterion and his horrific horde, Great Canadian Burlesque!
You will see: blood-sucking, bodacious babes; heart-tearing honeys; seductresses of Satan; and demented darlings escaping bondage! Ahhh, yes, all the things that go bump 'n' grind in the night!
